Weekly Recreation Report – October 7, 2013

Things are in full swing here at the arena with bookings most night from 5pm to 11pm.  Minor hockey is getting ready to begin in the next week or two and Canskate will begin at the end of the month.

Speaking of Canskate, they held their registration night last week but are still looking for skaters for this season.  Sessions will be held Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. If you’re interested in signing up, please give me a call ASAP at 735-4415.

The Southeast Connection Sport, Culture & Recreation District along with the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region are looking to motivate older adults in the south east to get active through the “Forever…in motion” program.  Programs will be led by volunteer peer leaders who have taken the FREE Forever…in motion training program.  Training will be hosted in the south east and mileage will be paid. If you’re interested in becoming a peer leader please get in touch with me so I can provide more information.

Lastly, I’m looking to host fitness programs throughout the winter and need certified instructors.  If you, or someone you know wants to get paid while getting fit please give me a call.  I will happily pay for updated or new fitness certifications should you be interested.

Until next week,

Matt Bahm
