Located in the heart of Whitewood at the corner of 3rd. Ave and Lalonde St. and across the street from the millennium mural, is the community’s tribute to the brave people who gave their lives for the cause of freedom. The lovely marble statue was unveiled after World War I. The beautiful flower beds are maintained yearly by the local Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.
