Merchant’s Bank Heritage Centre

In downtown Whitewood you will find the completely restored Merchant’s Bank Heritage Centre located at 714 Lalonde Street. This jewel of a building houses an interpretive display featuring the story of the French Counts of St. Hubert. These aristocrats tried to form the “most glamorous settlement in the west.” They made Whitewood the French Count Capital of North America. The Heritage Centre is open only by appointment throughout the year. To make an appointment to view the Merchant’s Bank please email whitewoodmuseum@hotmail.com. The archives have also been moved to the Heritage Centre. Admission is free.
